This place, the city of Charleston is a very special place. It's one of the oldest cities in the nation, one of the most beautiful cities in the nation. Southern hospitality in Charleston is known worldwide and I've lived around the country and I've never seen a more friendly people than the people of Charleston.
My parents always encouraged us to continue our studies and I think that's partially why I was attracted to higher education. I want to pass the passion for learning on to my students.
