Join The Peak Ensemble from Apex, North Carolina, for a free choir concert at
First Scots Presbyterian at 53 Meeting Street Charleston on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 7:00 pm.

The Ensemble will be performing international choral works from Hreiðar Ingi Þorsteinsson, Eric Nelson, Riks Ešenvalds, Keith Hampton, Paul Rardin, and more!

About The Peak Ensemble:
The Peak Ensemble is a collaboration between Apex High School and Apex Friendship High School in Apex, North Carolina, the “Peak of Good Living”. The idea of this ensemble was born out of a need for connection. We have enough competition; this was a chance to create community in our town. We work together performing for local events such as our Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, with our neighborhood middle school programs, and regionally on tours. Ms. Copley of Apex High School mentored Mr. Wanamaker of Apex Friendship High School eight years ago for his students teaching placement before becoming a teacher of his own. Since then, they have worked together to facilitate a high level of choral excellence in their community and have a blast working together. Both directors believe that they push each other to be better teachers, which is why this collaboration has worked so well.
