The Charleston Music Hall is excited and terrified to screen The Exorcist w/ a Live Score from White/Bogan Duo on Sunday, October 29th at 7:30PM! Charleston's own White/Bogan Duo will be playing a score they wrote while the classic horror film The Exorcist plays behind them on the the Music Hall's full size movie screen. The duo will be using an array of analog synthesizers, keyboards, piano, children's toys experimental instruments, drums and percussion to provide you with an experimental take on the classic horror film experience. We presented this show last year, and it was so amazing we had to bring it back just in time for Halloween.
THE EXORCIST
One of the most profitable horror movies ever made, this tale of an exorcism is based loosely on actual events. When young Regan (Linda Blair) starts acting odd - levitating, speaking in tongues - her worried mother (Ellen Burstyn) seeks medical help, only to hit a dead end. A local priest (Jason Miller), however, thinks the girl may be seized by the devil. The priest makes a request to perform an exorcism, and the church sends in an expert (Max von Sydow) to help with the difficult job.
