The Aztec Experience offers a unique opportunity to explore chocolate making by hand in the most authentic way. Join us as we grind cocoa beans in a Mexican molcajete, a stone bowl made of volcanic lava.
As the beans grind into a chocolaty paste, add spices traditionally used in the time of the Aztecs such as chili, ginger, or cinnamon, and add a finishing touch of vanilla.
Learn how to temper the chocolate before molding your made-by-hand chocolate into bars.
Enjoy edible and drinkable chocolate as you discover the many factors that affect the flavor of chocolate through your taste buds.
BYOB: Feel free to 'Bring Your Own Bottle' to enjoy during the event. We provide glassware.
