Spoleto Festival USA + Charleston Jazz Academy Workshop Series: Terri Lyne Carrington
In collaboration with Spoleto Festival USA, we are excited to host Wells Fargo Jazz Series performing artist Terri Lyne Carrington at the Charleston Jazz Academy on May 29, 2019 from 6pm - 7:15pm. At the age of seven, Carrington was given a set of drums that had belonged to her grandfather, and at the age of 11, she received a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music. Throughout her extensive touring and recording career, she has worked with luminary artists such as Herbie Hancock, Stan Getz, Dianne Reeves, and many more! Don't miss this chance to learn from the first female artist to win a Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Album in this free workshop.
