School of Rock the Musical will rock Summerville and further its mission to "teach rock 'n' roll to the world!" Based on the popular film of the same name, this hilarious rock romp follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe rocker who poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school and discovers his vehicle to rock stardom in the form of straight -A fifth grade musical prodigies. Andrew Lloyd Webber (Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar) composes 14 new songs to accompany this madcap rock and roll adventure that pits Dewey and his pint-sized rock band against parents and school faculty in order to compete in the coveted Battle of the Bands!
