The Charleston Academy of Music faculty member Dr. Richard Stanton performs a solo recital in another Rush Hour Concert on Friday, January 29 from 6 to 7pm.
Stanton will perform music of Bach, Schubert, Chopin, Franck and Liszt. Cam is excited to announce the new home of the Rush Hour Series, Spoleto Festival USA, The Murray Center, located at 14 George Street, Charleston.
Admission is free but donations are greatly appreciated and allow CAM to provide student scholarships and produce events such as this.
The Rush Hour Mini Concerts showcase CAM's talented faculty in short and exciting concerts. The series features monthly concerts and makes classical music more accessible to the community, perfect for all ages to attend in the early evening before heading home.

Rick Stanton holds a doctorate degree in piano performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and Case Western Reserve University. He also holds a M.M. degree in piano performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. His teachers have included Elizabeth Pastor (Cleveland Institute of Music), Martin Marks (Butler University), Tong Il Han (Illinois State University) and Claude Frank (Aspen Music Festival). He has appeared as soloist and collaborative pianist in concerts in the Midwest and as soloist with orchestras, including the Indianapolis Symphony, the Cleveland Institute Orchestra (with James Levine as conductor), the Butler University Orchestra, and the Fargo Moorhead Orchestra.
