Stroll along the Colonial Lake's pathways adorned with more than 1,000 luminaries, creating a breathtaking glow. This free event begins the holiday season with a special tree lighting ceremony at 5:45 p.m., led by Mayor John Tecklenburg. The evening continues with live music performed by the Charleston Caroling Company, a delightful food village offering concessions, artist vignettes, a whimsical photo booth, and more! Don't forget to bring your chairs and blankets to settle in for a heartwarming holiday movie on the lawn at Moultrie Park starting at 7 p.m. Registration is encouraged for Light the Lake, a free community event on December 1 at Colonial Lake from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Dedicate a Luminary:
For a meaningful contribution of just $35, you can dedicate a luminary in celebration of those who continue to bring joy to your life, whether they be friends, neighbors, or in remembrance of beloved family members who have passed away, such as your late grandfather. Your luminary dedication will be prominently featured during the two-hour preview on the 40-foot movie screen from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Charleston Parks Conservancy is a nonprofit that works to enhance and maintain 24 parks in partnership with the City.
