On Wednesday, March 28, internationally-acclaimed architect Moshe Safdie will speak at 6pm at the Charleston Museum about his goal to create meaningful, vital, and inclusive social spaces that enrich the communities in which they are situated. Among his current projects is the National Medal of Honor Museum, designed for Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant. Hear directly from the architect about his plans for this major tourist attraction, and about the impact his other structures have made on their respective communities.
Safdie’s exceptional structures include the expansion of Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center in Israel, the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, AK, Kansas City’s Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, and the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa.
