The Festive Americana! spring concert will feature the all-male group singing a selection of American folk tune, followed with a selection of choral arrangements from well-known musicals such as State Fair, Show Boat, Oklahoma, and Carousel. The concert will finish with a selection of Gershwin songs arranged by Earl Mays.
Proceeds from this, as well as the chorus's other concerts, benefit music scholarships given to students studying vocal music and/or choral conducting at the College of Charleston and Charleston Southern University. The concert will feature current scholarship recipients. Artistic Director Ricard Bordas will conduct, and Pamela Nelson will accompany on piano.
