The Charlotte Street Tour, 2-5 p.m., is part of the acclaimed Festival of Houses and Gardens and includes private properties rarely open to tour. The Mazyck-Wraggborough neighborhood boasts antebellum villas as well as later Victorian era houses. Mazyck's Pasture, site of the "Liberty Oak," where Charleston's "Sons of Liberty" met before the Revolution, was surveyed in lots for Alexander Mazyck in 1786. Just to the north, ten years later, the heirs of John Wragg planned the development of his estate as the suburb of Wraggborough. They named the streets for various members of the family, including John, Elizabeth and Charlotte.
