Candle Making Class

Event Details

Come create your own Candlefish candle. There are two classes to choose from: Scented Candles and Vintage Vessel Candles.

All are from 2-4pm or 6-8pm and cost $45.

Scented Candles:
Join our skilled Candlefish Chandlers to experience a hands-on, behind the scenes look at how we make our scented, soy wax candles. Class participants will try their hand at every step of scented candle-making process guided by our expert chandlers. After perusing, sniff testing, and choosing the perfect fragrance from a selection of our Candlefish fragrance oils, each student measures and mixes the wax and oil to then pour two 11 oz. scented candles. Using all natural soy wax and 100% cotton wicks, your very own hand-made candles made by your very own hands will burn clean and even. As always, enjoy 15% off all in-store merchandise, classes are BYOB and we will have glassware waiting for you! See you in the shop!

Vintage Vessel Candle Making Class:
What could be better than making candles using a collection of unique vintage vessels, clean burning 100% soy wax and a selection of our favorite Holiday fragrances? There's nothing better, if you ask us! Join us for our December Seasonal candles class and get a head start on your hand-crafted gifting!
These beautiful hand-poured candles will make the greatest gifts, made with the guidance of our experienced Chandlers. Trust us, your friends and family will thank you (and we won't tell if you keep one or two for yourself...)
Here is how the class will work:
•All vessels are provided! The Candlefish Chandlers have had a blast collecting vintage tea cups, mason jars, vintage cocktail glasses, tumblers and more for you to choose from.
•If you have a vessel or two at home you have always wanted to make into a candle, bring it in! We will be showing you how to heat test vessels to ensure they are candle worthy.
•Each student will be given 16.2 ounces of 100% soy wax and 1.8 ounces of the fragrance oil of their choice to divvy up among your chosen vessels. For example, you could chose to make 4-5 smaller 4 oz candles, or use your wax to pour 2 larger 9 oz candles. It's up to you!
•We will have a selection of wonderful fragrances from our Candlefish Library for you to choose from; each of your candles will share your chosen fragrance.
•Candles cool overnight and are ready for pick-up the next day!
