Birds & Brunch at the Bennett

12pm - 3pm

This unique annual fundraiser has become one of Charleston's most iconic events and provides important funding that supports the Avian Conservation Center's ongoing work identifying and addressing vital environmental issues through providing medical care for injured birds of prey and shorebirds, and through educational, research, and conservation initiatives. In addition to the appearance of captivating avian ambassadors representing birds of prey from around the world, guests will delight in an interesting presentation while enjoying a catered brunch and bar. Tickets for this annual event typically sell out, so it is suggested that you register your name and address on the Center's ticket waitlist, which is available on their website at

Birds & Brunch at the Bennett offers guests an intimate encounter with the Center's resident collection of birds of prey from around the world. With the goal of raising funds to advance the future of avian conservation in the region, this annual fundraising event will include a curated auction with a variety of items not seen at other events, such as a private, full-day, made-to-order nature excursion for 16 people including food, adult beverages, and a bird of prey experience with the experts from Coastal Expeditions. Other auction items include an 18k Yellow Gold Necklace with Multi-colored Sapphires and Diamonds from Croghan's Jewel Box, a family-sized vacation stay at the rustic log cabins of Salmon Prairie Ranch in northwest Montana located just minutes from Glacier National Park, and a chef-prepared dinner with special samplings of distilled spirits at the new, 16-acre Firefly Distillery, uniquely designed to preserve habitat for local wildlife, located along the shores of Noisette Creek, which is scheduled to open in February of 2020.

For the craft beer or brunch enthusiast, whether in attendance or not, there is a fantastic opportunity to win a private 'Birds, Brews, & Brunch' catered event at the Center for Birds of Prey for up to 40 people with beer provided by six of Charleston's best producers - Charles Towne Fermentory, Edmund's Oast Brewing Company, Frothy Beard Brewing Company, Holy City Brewing, Revelry Brewing, and Tradesman Brewing Company. Although the raffle will be drawn at the end of the brunch, participants will not have to be present to win. Raffle tickets are $40 each and can be purchased online or at the event.
