Back to School Extravaganza

Event Details

Back to School Extravaganza provides underserved youth in Charleston with the resources they need for a successful school year. Each school-age child who attends will receive a free backpack containing school supplies and will be eligible for special giveaways. Families will enjoy games, food trucks, jump castles and skating with Skate Boss. A special appearance by McGruff and a Herbie Goes to School book signing with Every 1 Voice Matters mascot Lil Herbie round out the fun.
Also, a distinguished lineup of guest speakers will share their personal stories of overcoming hardships: Sherrika Myers, founder of Every 1 Voice Matters, Christian Rainey, founder of M.A.D. USA, Eric Watson, Deputy County Administrator of Public Safety, and Jarriel King, Sr., former NFL player and Carolina Gamecock alum.
Musical entertainment will be provided by DJ Boss Hogg and Z93 Jamz radio personality Riecy Gee will broadcast live on-site.
