The 2021 Festival will be a bit different this year as we have re-imagined it to accommodate COVID measures with smaller audience sizes, more outdoor programming and social distancing protocols in place. All tours this year will feature private gardens and exteriors only.
The revised 2021 schedule is as follows:
Glorious Gardens Tours will be re-scheduled to:
Friday, April 30th
Friday, May 17th, 14th and 21st
These popular tours of private gardens will not include interiors and group size will be limited to accommodate social distancing.
Please note we unfortunately have to cancel the Sip and Stroll and Garden Splendor tours for 2021.
Food For Thought Luncheon VIRTUAL Lectures
Thursday, March 11th through Friday, April 2nd
Monday, April 5th through Friday, April 16th Food for Thought Luncheon Lectures will be held in-person at the Captain James Missroon House, 40 East Bay.
The audience sizes will be limited to accommodate social distancing.
We are thrilled to announce that beginning Friday, April 23rd, we will offer a new in-person Festival Fridays program featuring Morning History Walks and Food For Thought lectures every Friday through August 27th!
First Thursday Gullah Spirituals - These uplifting musical concerts will be held the first Thursday of every month beginning April 1st through November 4th.
Morning History Walks will begin Monday, April 5th through Friday, April 16th. Beginning Friday, April 23rd, these will be held every Friday through August 27th as part of our new Festival Fridays program.
This decision has not been made lightly, however, these changes are the only responsible course of action in these on-going unfortunate circumstances. Public health and safety must remain our number one priority.
Festival proceeds benefit the advocacy, education and preservation initiatives of Historic Charleston Foundation.
