12th Annual African Market and Festival

The 12th Annual African Market and Festival will be held on Sunday 20 May 2018 from 1 - 4pm at Unity of Charleston 2535 Leeds Ave (Leeds at Dorchester), Charleston 29405. All proceeds support the Ann Sandell Independent School in Liberia.

Admission is FREE. Rain or Shine.

The African Market and Festival is a celebration of African culture with African art, crafts, clothing, jewelry, dancers, drummers, skin care, and more. There will be a variety of vendors and a silent auction.

Delicious food is available with African flavor grilled chicken, fried fish, plantains, jollof rice, couscous, vegetarian specials, beverages and more. Come enjoy an authentic African meal. Add to the atmosphere by wearing your African clothing - the more colorful the better.

The African Market and Festival is fundraiser for the African Community Exchange (ACE) to benefit the Ann Sandell Independent School in Paynesville, Liberia (http://asi-school.weebly.com/). Proceeds of this fundraiser enable boys and girls who otherwise would not be able attend school the opportunity of an education and to reach their full potential. All contributions are tax exempt.
