YALLFest 2011: Twenty top young adult writers from all over the country converge on Charleston for two days of seminars and panels at the College of Charleston, Fri., Nov. 11th, and Blue Bicycle Books on Sat., Nov. 12th.
Fans: This festival is a spin-off from last year’s successful Capital Bookfest, which drew more than 5,000 people to the Downtown Public Library and Blue Bicycle Books.
Fun Friday: the College of Charleston will host master classes, panels and seminars for area students to work with YA authors intimate round-table sessions.
Super Saturday: Blue Bicycle Books will host panels, readings, book signings, a food truck
rodeo, a live band, prizes for kids’ micro-fiction contests, Window Wheel of Fortune, “write of fall” writing workshop, and rounding out the day with an “all-star jam” as teams of our visiting YA authors compete in storytelling games.
