Arts Access South Carolina presents this original, two act play written by W. LaVone Griffin and inspired by Langston Hughes’ popular fictional character Jesse B. Semple.
The story focuses on Griffin’s version of Jesse B. Semple and the character’s views on racism in America during World War II. Produced as a component of Arts Access SC’s new program, Expressions: For Vets by Vets, the play was designed to offer disabled veterans an opportunity for self-discovery through an artistic platform. [Additional presentation on Thursday, May 7.]
