One of the first screenings of the Southern Foodways Alliance’s new, feature-length film, "Pride & Joy" directed by Joe York, will take place at the American Theater at 5:30 pm.
The film captures the gastronomic adventures of director Joe York, who has been working for the past decade to document the South’s diverse food cultures and traditions.
A Q&A session with York and executive producer John T Edge will follow the screening before guests enjoy grub from Jodie Battles and Nico Romo of Fish, Yewande Komalfe of Jim N Nick’s, Lauren Mitterer of WildFlour Pastry, Sarah O’Kelley of The Glass Onion and Michael Shemtov and Stuart Tracy of Butcher and Bee—paired with a selection of beverages in the American Theater’s iconic ballroom.
