"Viva La Sax!" Finale Concert of HELLO, SAXOPHONE! KAMMERMUSIK Concert Series'

"Saxy" New Classical Series' Season Finale Promises a Fun Evening of Hip, Elegant Entertainment.

On April 21, come enjoy Viva La Sax! as HELLO, SAXOPHONE! KAMMERMUSIK Concert Series celebrates its debut season's finale. This concert of classical and contemporary works by French, Belgian, Argentine, Norwegian & American composers showcases the saxophone, clarinet and piano in glimmering virtuosity.

Your fun begins that night at 7:30pm, at the Unitarian Church in Charleston, for a sax-centric classical chamber music concert that is sure to make your night sparkle, shimmer and shine! With its highly praised summer 2015 opening concert, Sacred Songs & Modern Dances and a bold winter follow-up with Country Sax, City Sax, HELLO, SAXOPHONE! is establishing a following and making valuable contributions to the vibrant musical life of the Lowcountry region. For Viva La Sax!, series founder and artistic director Jonathan Kammer continues to present fresh, imaginative evenings of classical chamber music with a twist of saxophone, blending classical music with more contemporary and popular styles.

Kammer has created a season-closing program for Viva La Sax! that is as hip as it is elegant. HELLO, SAXOPHONE! KAMMERMUSIK's April 21 concert-goers will get happy to energetic and sensual tangos and polished, timeless Romantic and Classical works. The audience will groove to the flashy, funky sounds of modern concert music, too. Viva La Sax! will inspire and entertain, so come out on April 21, and bring your favorite friends and sax-loving family!

You'll hear Charleston Academy of Music greats Philip Lipton on clarinets and Patrick Boyle on piano, as they join soulful sax pros Kammer and Kindall N. Smith for this rollicking classical music event. The crew will lay down the beat as they bring to life the music of Piazzolla, Milhaud, Pascal and Singele. A few special cameos by several of the region's saxophonists will bring together an 11-piece sax orchestra to close the show!
