Charleston Bed Race

Event Details

The 7th Annual Charleston Bed Race is set to take place on Sunday, May 1 at the MUSC Health Stadium (formerly Blackbaud Stadium) on Daniel Island. This annual event brings the Charleston community together by racing beds to raise money for childhood cancer through the non profit organization, Camp Happy Days.

The Bed Race will begin with a grand parade of decorated beds at MUSC Health Stadium at 12pm with the race to follow. Beds will race two at a time for the distance of approximately two blocks. At the end of the race, awards will be given out in a variety of categories, including Fastest Bed, Slowest Bed, Best Decorated Bed, Most Outrageously Decorated Bed, the "What Were You Thinking?" Bed and the People's Choice Award. In addition to the race, guests will also enjoy live music by Dreaming Trio and food provided by local food trucks and vendors including The Kickin' Chicken, Roti Rolls and King of Pops. After the race, guests are invited to head to Daniel Island Grille (DIG) for the Charleston Bed Race After Party.
