Charleston Battery Hosts Second Round of US Open Cup + Dollar Beer Wednesday

The Battery will open its 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup campaign at home in the MUSC Health Stadium during the tournament's second round on Wednesday, May 18th against Villages S.C. Gates open at 6:00pm and kick-off is at 7:30pm.

For the first time in the Charleston Battery's history, the stadium will have dollar beers available for purchase in the West Beer Garden throughout the match. In addition, free parking will be available for the U.S. Open Cup game.

The 103rd edition of the U.S. Open Cup features a field of 92 teams. Seventeen of the United Soccer League's 29 teams will compete, with seven of those team set to host on May 18th. The Charleston Battery advanced to the fourth round of the 2015 U.S Open Cup tournament.
