12th Annual Mardi Crawl

Event Details

The Lowcountry Parrot Head Club will host the 12th Annual Mardi Crawl on Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant on Saturday, February 27.

The event takes revelers on a tour of a variety of locations on Shem Creek to collect stamps and prizes while raising money for Lowcountry Parrot Head Club charities including Alzheimer's Association of South Carolina and Pet Helpers. Over the past 11 years, this annual event has fulfilled its mission to "party with a purpose," raising more than $90,000 for local charities.

Registration and check-in begins at noon at three locations on Shem Creek: Red's Ice House, The Shelter Kitchen & Bar and Vickery's. At 1 pm, attendees will set off on their route to travel to each of the participating restaurants where they can partake in interactive games, enjoy food and drink specials and live entertainment before moving on to the next restaurant. After the crawl, Dave Landeo and Three Sheets Island Band will perform live at Red's Ice House from 6:30pm-9pm.

Mardi Crawl participating restaurants include Red's Ice House, Tavern & Table, Vickery's, Shem Creek Bar & Grill, RB's, and The Shelter Kitchen & Bar. Registration is available for $25 in advance at LCParrotHeads.org or for $30 at the event. The registration price includes an event t-shirt and a commemorative koozie. Sponsors for the Mardi Crawl include Corona, Margaritaville Tequila, Salon Salon of Charleston and Titos Vodka.

The Quality Inn & Suites at Patriot's Point will serve as the event's host hotel, offering a discounted room rate of $109 per night for Mardi Crawl attendees. There will also be shuttle service available for those who opt to stay at The Quality Inn & Suites.
