A visit to Charleston just would not be complete without a trip to the beach and Kiawah Beachwalker Park. Offering ocean frontage and a river view, it is located on the west end of Kiawah Island and offers the only public beach access on the island. In 2013 it was chosen as one of Dr. Beach’s Top 10 Beaches.The park offers many amenities that will make your visit an enjoyable and relaxing time, including a picnic area with grills. A dressing area, drink vending, boardwalk and accessible ramp, and restrooms are offered year-round. Dogs are permitted, but must be leashed at all times.Lifeguards are on duty seasonally along a beachfront-designated swimming area. Other seasonal amenities include beach chair and umbrella rentals, outdoor showers, beach-accessible wheelchairs (call ahead for availability), and a snack bar.
