Charleston, South Carolina, Named "South's Best City" In Southern Living 2018 South's Best Awards
CHARLESTON, S.C. (March 20, 2018)- Charleston, South Carolina has been voted the No. 1 “South’s Best City” in Southern Living’s 2018 South’s Best Awards. This is the second consecutive year that Charleston has been named the “South’s Best City” by the readers of Southern Living. A record of more than 32,000 respondents voted in the annual awards. “We are very excited to be named the South’s Best city for the second year,” said Linn Lesesne, Vice President of Sales and Public Relations of Charming Inns of Charleston and Chair of Explore Charleston. “Charleston provides an experience unlike any other community in the South. The hospitable people and culture, illustrious accommodations, celebrated cuisine and historic landmarks are what makes the Charleston area quintessential Southern.”
