Passport Usage Guidelines

  • Each Passport provides individual one-time only admission to each of the sites included in the plan purchased.
  • All passports are valid for 5 consecutive days, starting from the day of your first visit to an included site. If you purchase the passport later in the day we suggest that you consider waiting until the following day to begin using it, as you may not have enough time to visit each site.
  • All Passports will expire 6 months from the date of purchase.
  • Passports are not available for sale to groups. Groups with more than 10 people are encouraged to contact the sites directly to make arrangements.
  • Passports are not valid for special events and may not be combined with other discounts.
  • Printed versions of the Online Passport will not be accepted. You must present the passport on your smart phone for admission.
  • Purchases of the Charleston Essential Passport are non-refundable

About the Federation

The Charleston Heritage Federation is comprised of non-governmental 501c3 museums and historic preservation organizations. The member organizations are devoted to the protection, preservation, and professional stewardship of buildings, sites, objects, and natural places / landscapes significant to the heritage and culture of Charleston and the South Carolina Lowcountry.

The organization works to enhance communication and cooperation among its members; provide joint marketing opportunities; and to educate the public concerning preservation and interpretation of historic places and museums.
