Webinar: Chinese Export Porcelains in the Drayton Hall Collection
Event Details
Join Drayton Hall's Archaeology Team virtually for a Zoom webinar on Thursday, March 25th at 5 pm EST for a wonderful event focused on the Chinese Export Porcelains found during excavation at Drayton Hall and now in the Archaeological Collection.
Chinese-export porcelains were used as a visible display of 18th century wealth, and John Drayton used them prominently in his household. The Drayton Hall archaeological collections contain one of the largest assemblages of Chinese-export porcelains recovered from a colonial plantation site in North America. Join Sarah Stroud Clarke and Corey Sattes to learn more about the history of this refined ceramic, decorative techniques, and what makes the Drayton Hall collection so exceptional.
This is a Donate What You Can Event. If you are not able to attend at the broadcast time, please register as usual and a recording of the event will be on the event page the day after the event.
