From 1pm to 3pm at Marion Square (East triangle), there will be a march and review led by the Washington Light Infantry, followed by the 33rd Regiment of Food in Bear hats, the 2nd South Continentals along with many dignitaries. The march will emulate the British surrender of Charlestown to Continental troops on December 14, 1782, effectively ending the War for American Independence. Following the march and review, distinguished historical speakers from across the state will elaborate about South Carolina's significant role in the American Revolution "From first protest to final victory". Students and teachers of Revolutionary history are highly encouraged to attend. Tri-corner hats are welcome and some seating will be available. There will be a meet and greet following a laying of the wreaths and canon salute.
