Chef Vivian Howard is offering a three-course prix fixe Valentine’s menu from Feb. 14-17 at Lenoir, her downtown Charleston restaurant. Howard created the special menu using ingredients and foods known to evoke passion, including chocolate, hot chiles, oysters and more. The special menu is designed for two people to share and priced at $60 per couple. The regular menu also will be available.
Here is the special menu:
First course: Red and Gold Beets, Toasted Pepitas, Whipped Buttermilk Blue Cheese and Honey Pomegranate Vinaigrette.
Second course: Seared Scallops, Celery Root Puree, Slow Cooked Field Peas and Fried Oysters.
Dessert course: Chocolate Mousse with Italian Meringue, Chocolate-covered Strawberries and Affogato made with Vivian’s Signature Coffee Roast and Vanilla Gelato.
