"Pause for Pastels" Exhibition at Public Works Art Center

Public Works Art Center is pleased to announce that the “Pause for Pastels” exhibition will run from January 14 through February 26, 2022. The exhibition will feature works by members of the Pastel Society of South Carolina in a variety of subject matter. Official opening reception will be held Thursday, January 20 from 5:30pm-8:30pm.

The pastel society was formed in 2016 and members include accomplished award-winning artists. Many of the members are Pastel Society of America Signature Members and International Association of Pastel Societies Master Circle Members.
All artworks are original works painted using “dry pastels.” A “People’s Choice Award” will be awarded at the end of the exhibition. Artwork may be purchased through the Public Works Art Center. The website for the Pastel Society of South Carolina is www.pastelsocietyofsc.com

The Pastel Society of South Carolina is a not-for-profit organization whose objectives are to promote public awareness of pastel as a fine art medium, provide educational programs for its members and other interested parties and opportunities for them to exhibit their work and unite pastel artists to bring about recognition of their work.
