THE DEWBERRY FOUNDATION PRESENTS ART at the Aiken-Rhett House

As part of Charleston by Design and the month-long Charleston Festival, Historic Charleston Foundation is proud to host a unique art exhibit at the historic and evocative Aiken-Rhett House. Featuring acclaimed Charleston-natives, artists Shepard Fairey and Tim Hussey, and Atlanta-based artist, Masud Olufani, this site-specific exhibit, curated by Kelly S. Turner, explores the juxtaposition of contemporary art in a historic setting.

The artists draw on inspirations of variations of the human spirit and the human condition, and hope, through immersive works including 2D and 3D early street art, original paintings on paper and canvas, and sculpture. The exhibit takes place inside the preserved "as-found" house and outbuildings, further heightening the impact of these thought-provoking works.
