The Darling And Revelry Brewing Summer Beer Collaboration
Event Details
CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Darling Oyster Bar, upper King Street's popular restaurant for fresh cold oysters and draft cocktails, will release its summer beer collaboration with Revelry Brewing on the summer solstice.
Aptly named Beach Bod, the brew will be available to the public at both the brewery and The Darling starting June 21st. The partners will celebrate the launch and the official start of summer with a party at Revelry, from 4 - 7 p.m.
The idea for a Darling-Revelry collaboration began in April, and over several meetings, the owners and teams determined the brew's flavor profile, ingredients, name, and the label design.
"We have always been fans of Revelry Brewing and the beers they produce," said Robert Young, co-owner of The Darling Oyster Bar. "We wanted the beer to be something you could enjoy over the warm weather months, which in Charleston can last well into the fall months."
Ryan Coker, head brewer/owner at Revelry, wanted to integrate elements of The Darling into the beer. "We talked about citrus and how it complements seafood," says Coker. "I wanted to make this a light, drinking beer that you could enjoy at a restaurant or with your friends on a boat."
