The New College Choir, one of the United Kingdom's most acclaimed choral groups, will perform in concert at Grace Church Cathedral in Charleston at 7:30 pm on Monday, April 3, offering a selection of favorite British and European choral music including works of Byrchmore, Byrd, Clemens non Papa, Finzi, Guerrero, Hadley, Harris, Martin, Schatz, Stanford and Young.
Founded at Oxford University in 1379, the New College Choir includes 16 boy choristers and 14 adult clerks. Celebrated for their distinctive sound, they've performed at St Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel in Rome, singing for Pope Francis, as well as London's Cadogan Hall, San Francisco's Grace Cathedral, and Washington National Cathedral.
