The Atlantic Cup is returning to Charleston! From May 22nd- 26th, visit Charleston City Marina where the boats will be docked to prepare for the race. You may even get a chance to talk to some the sailors about the race!
On May 24th, the Atlantic Cup will host kids from all over Charleston for an up-close look at the boats and a special meet and greet with the sailors. Our Kids Education Program gives students and teachers the opportunity to visit the boats and hear the sailors stories from their time on the ocean. The Kids Program also helps children learn about the environmental challenges facing the ocean and how reducing, reusing, and recycling can make a huge difference. On Saturday, May 26th, head over to the Charleston Maritime Center or get out on the water to watch the start of the race as the boats head off to New York City. The gun goes off at 12 pm so don’t be late!
