Sweet Charity

Sweet Charity opens on Thursday, September 28th and runs through Sunday, October 22nd. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening shows are at 8pm (doors open at 7:30pm) and Sunday twilight shows are at 4pm (doors open at 3:30pm).

Ticket prices range from $35.00-$45.00 with Senior, Military, and Student prices available. "Table Tootsie" serve wine, cocktails, and snacks tableside, totally immersing our guests in the ambiance and story of the show!

Inspired by Federico Fellini's Nights of Cabiria, Sweet Charity explores the turbulent love life of Charity Hope Valentine, a hopelessly romantic but comically unfortunate dance hall hostess in New York City. With a tuneful, groovy, mid-1960s score by Cy Coleman, sparkling lyrics by Dorothy Fields, and a hilarious book by Neil Simon, Sweet Charity captures all the energy, humor, and heartbreak of life in the Big City for an unfortunate but irrepressible optimist.

Iconic musical numbers include: "Big Spender," "If My Friends Could See Me Now," "There's Gotta Be Something Better Than This," "Rich Man's Frug," and "Rhythm of Life"

Sweet Charity will star NYC Guest Artist and Actors Equity Association member, Johanna Schlitt Lacy in the role of Charity Hope Valentine! Johanna is a Charleston native and the daughter of local music maestros Maida Libkin and Bill Schlitt, co-founders and directors of The Sound of Charleston. Johanna is also a former student of C-PAC Artistic Director, Kirk Sprinkles Pfeiffer. Other guest artists include: Dillon Smith as Oscar Lindquist and Khawon Porter as Daddy Brubeck.

C-PAC is located at 873 Folly Road on James Island, only 9/10 of a mile from the James Island Connector. We have convenient parking located in the rear of our facility and overflow parking available next door at the Hen & the Goat Restaurant (adjacent lots).
