SUPer Scary SUP Race

Event Details

Charleston SUP Safaris invites you to come out for a day of fun and sun when we host our 9th Annual SUPer Scary SUP race on November 2, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. The race will begin at 83 Center St. Folly Beach, which is adjacent to the Folly River. Following the race, there will be an after party at Surf Bar with food, and purchase drinks. This is an exciting event that offers locals the chance to participate in a variety of categories, catering to all ability levels

The race categories will consist of a SUP and Prone 10K, 5K, SUP kids race and a Tandem dog race. Each participant whether it be human or canine is encouraged to come fully decked out in costume in honor of the Halloween theme. This is promised to be an afternoon filled with fun, adventure and friendly competitive spirits. Winners from each race will be eligible to win a number of great prizes available.

Race Times:
Elite 9:00am
Novice 9:05am
Kids Race 11:00am
Dog Race 11:30am

Proceeds from the event to benefit Youth 2 Ocean (visit them at www.y20.org)

Entry Fee:
$50 - Pre Register Online: Elite & Recreation Divisions (Race shirt)
$60 - Day of Race: Elite & Novice Divisions (Race shirt)
$25 - Kids* (12 & under) & Dog SUP * (all ages)
SUP boards will be available for rent for $10 on the day of the race, courtesy of SUP Safaris.

RAFFLE: Tons of great prizes from local shops!

Prizes awarded for top finisher in each category.

Please join us for at the 83 Center St for the Awards ceremony and then move the after party to Surf Bar 103 W. Cooper Ave. Folly Beach, SC 29439 for free food, and purchase drinks.
