Based on the acclaimed six time Oscar winning film, "Shakespeare in Love" tells the comedic story of a young playwright, named Will Shakespeare, who is desperate-he's out of ideas and has creditors banging at his door. He must turn out a new hit to clear his debts, but the only idea he's come up with lately is a new play he calls "Romeo and Ethel the Pirate's Daughter" but that doesn't seem quite right. He needs an inspiration, and destiny sends him Viola, a stunning beauty who is as in love with the theatre as he is- so much so that in an age when no women are allowed to perform onstage she is willing to disguise herself as a man in order to audition. When Will and Viola meet at the audition, their fates collide and a torrid star-crossed love affair ensues, and Will is inspired to turn his failed pirate play into the immortal and romantic tragedy, "Romeo and Juliet".
