About the Chefs:

Chef Chaz Brown is a culinary virtuoso with a passion for creativity and innovation in the kitchen. A prestigious French Culinary Institute graduate, Chaz was honored as the Mid-Atlantic Chef of the Year in 2009 and gained national recognition as a competitor on Top Chef Season 9. Currently, he serves as the executive chef of Jose Garces Events in Philadelphia, PA. With deep family roots in Trinidad and extensive experience in Southeast Asian cuisine, Chaz is dedicated to broadening customers' palates through his culinary craft. He aspires to open The Oxtail Exchange, a restaurant dedicated to heat, smoke, and inventive flavors. Chaz will bring his expertise and passion to Lost Isle for this special night, celebrating his heritage and the unique Moruga Hill Rice.
Chef Josh Taylor has been immersed in the culinary world since his childhood in North Georgia, where he worked in his mother's restaurant. His latest venture, Lost Isle, is an all-outdoor live fire restaurant located in Johns Island, South Carolina. Lost Isle has earned a spot on the New York Times' list of the top 50 restaurants in the United States for 2024 and was named Southern Living Magazine's “Restaurant of the Year 2025.” Chef Taylor's dedication to live fire cooking and his deep appreciation for culinary heritage make him the perfect partner for this special event
