The CSO presents a study in contrast of two of the greatest classical composers: Mozart's perfectly constructed and ebullient Symphony No. 33 and Haydn's "Il distratto" (the "absent-minded one") with clever comedic orchestration and jokes from start to finish. Guest cellist, Cicely Parnas, will be featured with the CSO on Saint-Saens' Concerto No. 1.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791)
Symphony No. 33
Camille Saint-Saens (1835-1921)
Concerto No. 1
Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809)
Symphony No. 60, "Il distratto'"
