Make plans to visit Middleton Place National Historic Landmark for Living History Days – a long-standing annual event showcasing the many different skills that were practiced by both enslaved and free people throughout the Low Country’s rich history.
Over 30 historic interpreters and volunteers will demonstrate such skills as blacksmithing, carpentry, soap making, butter churning, indigo dyeing, and hide tanning. In addition, historic practices of agriculture and animal husbandry will also be presented, including sugar cane pressing and cow milking.
Programming is included with General Admission to Middleton Place (free for Foundation Members).
