The Charleston Wind Symphony presents a July 4th Patriotic Spectacular! In the style of John Philip Sousa’s famous Sousa Band, the concert will include sets of overtures, novelties, Americana, a patriotic sing-a-long, readings from foundational American texts, and of course marches by the “March King” himself. Preceding the concert, the Washington Light Infantry's annual reading of the Declaration of Independence and March to St. Philip’s will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Old Exchange (corner of East Bay and Broad). Free Parking for the concert is available in the city garage located across the street from St. Philip’s Church.
