John Mark McMillan is a North Carolina-based singer-songwriter known for his genre-defying blend of Christian alternative rock and poetic lyricism. He gained widespread recognition with his song “How He Loves,” which has been covered by numerous artists and remains a staple in contemporary worship. In 2014, McMillan co-founded Lionhawk Records, releasing several albums that explore themes of faith, doubt, and the human experience. His latest album, “Deep Magic,” released in October 2023, continues this exploration with a collection of introspective tracks.
In 2025, McMillan is set to perform at The Breath and The Clay event, showcasing new music that delves into the intersection of technology, spirituality, and meaning-making.
