Join the Charleston Parks Conservancy for brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 20. Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy jazz music by guitarist Duda Lucena while relaxing in Hampton Park, 30 Mary Murray Drive in Charleston. Local food trucks Brunch Holiday, Roti Rolls, Notes Curbside Coffees and Kay's Southern Kitchen will have food available for purchase along with beer, wine and mimosas. No coolers or pets allowed. Guests are also invited to bring their best picnic decor (think festive place settings and fun chair coverings) for a chance to win one of three prizes. Admission is $15. While in Hampton Park, be sure to check out the first Art in the Parks exhibit at the southern edge of Hampton Park along Mary Murray Drive. The four large-scale pieces are made from colorful wood and transparent cast acrylic and engraved with local children's drawings, maps of Charleston and images of plant life. The sculptures are the culmination of almost a year of work by Georgia-based artist Joseph Dreher and the Conservancy.
