Holiday Events at The Charleston Place

Every evening at 6pm and 8pm through New Year’s Eve, “snow” will magically fall on Market Street Circle, blanketing the holiday trees and our grand decor in a lovely sheet of winter white. Come witness the rare occurrence of snow in the Holy City!

With snow falling, carolers singing, and cocoa and cookies, of course, watch the holiday magic of The Charleston Place come to life with this spectacular tree lighting ceremony in Market Street Circle on Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. This event is complimentary and open to the public, but reservations are required via the website.

Enjoy caroling by the CHARLESTON CAROLING COMPANY on November 25, 29, as well as December 2, 6, 8, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, & 23 from 5-8pm. Savor sweet treats available for purchase on Fridays and Saturdays from 5-8pm. We will welcome Little Peanut Pastries on December 9, 16 and 23 and AP Flour on December 2, 3, 10, and 17.

Stop by The Charleston Place to mail a letter to Santa or hospital patients at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. This special holiday mailbox will be located in the hotel directly across from Santa’s Workshop and the Buxton Books Pop-Up Shop.

Complimentary. Reservations required for 2022. Ticket must be shown upon entry. Snow queue starts on Market Street at 5pm and 7pm, at the entrance to the Market Street Circle. Guests will not be able to access Market Street Circle through the hotel's entrances.
