Grape Stomping Festival Delivers a Day of Fun for the Whole Family on August 27th

Wadmalaw Island, SC (August 27th, 2016)-August 27th will mark our 13th Annual Grape Stomping Festival. Join us at 6775 Bears Bluff Road on Wadmalaw Island from 10AM to 5PM. Admission is $10 per car in advance or $20 at the gate. Purchase tickets online via Picatic.com or our Facebook Page under events.
Bring your cash and credit for tastings offered every 30 minutes throughout the day. It's just $5 to try all five of the wines grown and bottled on property each tasting includes a souvenir stemless wine glass. Firefly Distillery tastings are $6 for a sample of six spirits and you'll receive a souvenir shot glass. Food trucks onsite will include: Gidget Gourmet, Home Team BBQ, Immortal Lobster, Kay's Southern Gourmet, Sweet Lulu's Bakery, Ben and Jerry's, and Old Salt Gourmet Pretzels.
The wine stomping competitions will kick off at 11AM with a kid stomp; followed by adult stomps at 1PM and 3PM. Sign-up for participation in the stomp contests begins August 1st.
Part of the fun at the Stomp always includes a Lucille Ball Look-a-Like Contest. Dress to impress in your favorite Lucy digs and join in this fun tradition!
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy music provided by One Kool Blow, followed by our headliner - The Travelin' Kine.
Kids will enjoy face-painting and entertainment provided by Jason's Jump Castles, including a"Wrecking Ball'“ see Jason's website for a video of the fun. Local vendors will be selling unique gifts and showcasing their talents. There's a little something for everyone and a day of fun awaiting you, we're a beautiful 30-minute drive from downtown Charleston through the live oaks of the Sea Islands. About Deep Water Vineyard
Deep Water Vineyard is Charleston's only vineyard and winery, located on Wadmalaw Island, 30 miles from downtown Charleston. In 2016 Jesse and Andrea Freiwald took over the established vineyard and are looking forward to putting their own unique touches on this dream location.
About Firefly Distillery
Firefly Distillery is located on Wadmalaw Island, thirty miles south of Charleston and is the largest distillery in the state of South Carolina.
