Flighted - A Beer Festival With Purpose

The Avian Conservation Center and their brewery partners are putting together a beer festival like no other. Scheduled for Sunday, November 10th at the Center's campus in Awendaw, Flighted - A Beer Festival With Purpose will provide visitors a unique journey into the amazing world of raptors with a delicious craft beer in hand and a lively soundtrack provided by Moto-grass. As one of the Center's newest fundraising events, all funds from this event will provide critical financial support for their ongoing work in avian science, medicine, and conservation.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $65 per person, $20 for designated drivers (non-drinking tickets). Food will be available for purchase from local food trucks. This is a 21 and older event and all attendees must have valid id.

Event Activities
Throughout the festival, there will be much for you to explore including beer tastings, birds of prey, food trucks, and music! Our brewery partners will offer a variety of craft beer samples and there is no limit to the number of samples you can enjoy. Birds of prey will be present and plentiful with exciting flight demonstrations and up-close looks at some of nature's most beautiful ambassadors. Moto-grass, a local acoustic trio, will be on-site providing the musical backdrop for this exciting new event at the Center. While tickets will cover most of the activities, food will be available for purchase separately from local food trucks.

Transportation
Make sure you make appropriate arrangements for transportation as it can be difficult to find a ride using ride-sharing services like Lyft and Uber at the Center. If using these services, we highly suggest that you schedule your rides in advance. Discounted lodging is available at the Holiday Inn Express NE Mount Pleasant. To receive discounted rates, mention the Center for Birds of Prey at the time of booking.

Legal Age Requirement
Anyone who wishes to attend this event must be 21 or older and have a valid government-issued ID available at check-in. Designated drivers will not be able to sample beers. Breweries have the right to refuse to serve anyone who they deem too intoxicated or disorderly.

Please dress appropriately for an outdoor experience. This event is rain or shine and we will not issue refunds for inclement weather.
