Join Deb Freeman, culinary historian, writer, and executive producer of the PBS documentary Finding Edna Lewis, which takes an intimate look at Lewis’s life and the remarkable path she paved in Southern foodways and the culinary community at large. Following the screening, Deb Freeman will be joined by North Charleston’s own, Amethyst Ganaway, for a conversation rooted in Edna Lewis’s contributions to Southern cooking here in the Lowcountry and beyond. Edna Lewis-inspired bites prepared by Amethyst Ganaway + sips will be available for guests to enjoy during the event.
