Europe's Ice Age Beasts

Join Jan Freedman, Curator of Natural History at the Plymouth City Museums and Art Gallery, as he takes a journey across the Atlantic, back to a time when Mammoths roamed.

While America had its share of amazing creatures during the Ice Age, from saber tooth cats to giant ground sloths, there were equally spectacular beasts roaming around Europe, too. Woolly rhinoceros, hyenas, and cave lions were just some of animals that formed Europe's rich Ice Age ecosystem. Discover more about the differences and similarities between European and American Ice Age animals and their disappearance.

This event is free and open to the public.
