Eclipse Kayak Tour to Capers - Over night
Event Details
Option 1: Paddle out Sunday, August 20th, set up camp and enjoy the pristine beach. Soak up the sunset fireside with the subtle sounds of breaking waves. Rise early for a dip in the ocean or sip coffee and listen to gulls and royal terns announcing their arrival. We will begin to watch as the moon approaches. Following the eclipse, the group will paddle back sharing amazing memories.
Option 2: The tides are perfect for a day trip to Capers to meet up with the overnight campers and experience history in the path of totality.
Want a great view but only have a few hours to spare? Option 3 or 4 might be the fit you're looking for.
Option 3: A 3-hour kayak tour on historic Shem Creek.
Option 4: A 2-hour SUP tour on Shem.

Option 1: Capers Island Overnight ***22 spots MAX***
Time: Meeting at Gadsdenville at 9:30 for 10am departure on 8/20, returning from Capers at 4/5pm 8/21.
Cost: $150 per person
Includes: kayak, guided tour on water and land, camp site, eclipse glasses, all gratuities.
+$100 upgrade includes: 4 meals, 2 snacks, & all camping gear provided (group tent lodging). If you wish to bring your own gear, it must fit in/on your kayak.
Option 2: Capers Island Day Trip ***19 spots MAX***
Time: Leaving Gadsdenville Landing at 8:30am on 8/21 & returning from Capers at 4/5pm.
Cost: $100
Includes: kayak, guided tour, eclipse glasses, all gratuities.
Option 3: Shem Creek Kayak Tour
Time: 1-4pm 8/21
Cost: $70 per person (gratuity not included)
Includes: Eclipse glasses and anchoring if needed.
Option 4: Shem Creek SUP Tour
Time: 1:30-3:30pm 8/21 (arrive early to be on the water at 2)
Cost: $55 per person (gratuity not included)
Includes: Eclipse glasses and anchoring if needed.

*Bringing your own kayak gives you a $25 savings on any of the tours. The Capers Island overnight is limited to 22 regardless of who supplies the kayak.
