September 2023 is Barbara Kingsolver Month at Buxton Books!
Throughout the month of September, when you purchase a copy of Barbara Kingsolver’s latest novel Demon Copperhead, you will be invited to participate in the Buxton Books Book Club Event on Sept. 28 in the bookstore!

Demon Copperhead was the 2023 Winner of the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction, and we have some huge fans on our staff who are eager to discuss the book with you! Very special guest, Victoria Benton Frank, author of My Magnolia Summer, will be joining us to lead the discussion.

This Book Club Event is also part of our campaign for a contest Barbara’s publisher is running. The winning bookstore gets the prize of hosting Barbara for her ONE and ONLY author event celebrating the paperback release of Demon Copperhead.

Not only will a purchase of the book act as your ticket to our Book Club Event, you will also have first access to VIP tickets and seating when (we are manifesting!) Barbara Kingsolver comes to town!
